Prayer For Forgiveness With Bible Verses
Dear Lord,
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
Heavenly Father, I come before you with a humble heart, acknowledging my mistakes and shortcomings. I seek your forgiveness for the times when I have strayed from your path and disobeyed your commandments. Please forgive me for my sins and wash me clean from all unrighteousness.
"But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you." (Psalm 130:4)
Thank you, Lord, for your boundless mercy and grace. Your forgiveness allows me to serve you with a reverent heart, free from the burden of guilt and shame. I surrender myself to your loving embrace, knowing that you are willing to forgive me time and time again.
"The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love." (Psalm 103:8)
I praise you, God, for your infinite patience and compassion towards me. Despite my failings, you remain slow to anger and lavish me with your steadfast love. Help me to always remember your mercy and to extend the same forgiveness to others as you do to me.
"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10)
Lord, purify my heart and renew my spirit, so that I may walk in righteousness and obedience to your will. Grant me the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to learn from my mistakes. May your forgiving spirit dwell within me, guiding me towards true repentance and transformation.
I thank you, Lord, for the gift of forgiveness through your son Jesus Christ. May his sacrifice remind me of your unwavering love and forgiveness towards me. Help me to live a life that reflects your grace and mercy, and to extend forgiveness to others as freely as you have forgiven me.
